Leikarringen means a group of Scandinavian folk dancers.
Store Leikarringen is open to all levels of dancers,
beginning through advanced. Ages middle school through
adult. Each lesson covers one or more of the basics of
Scandinavian folkdancing: waltz, schottisch/reinlender,
pols, snua. This is followed by a few songs to practice the
skills, then general dancing. Depending on how many people attend, we also teach
Scandinavian ril (reels) or other figure dances. This is a non-performance group.
