A lot of you knew Leroy from his many years of dancing, particularly at Country Dances. He recently went home to the Lord, so we're honoring him with a celebration. On Saturday July 19, dance the night away on the huge hardwood floor at the Prince of Peace Church, 14175 NW Cornell in Portland. It's just north off the Murray Exit on highway 26. There's plenty of on-site parking. At 7pm we'll open with a country couples dance lesson by Marcus Sterling, and then we'll kick up our heels to Country music, line dances, and pop and ballroom songs until 10:30. We'll have food and ice water, and the admission is free. We just ask that you bring something yummy to share, and maybe some of you can bring diabetic-friendly desserts, in memory of Leroy. |
